The Labour Court recommended that the Health Service Executive offer a worker serving as Director of Public Health an acting allowance retrospectively from February 2012. It recommended that the Irish Medical Organisation accept the offer in full and final settlement. The recommendation was signed on 10 February 2014. The dispute concerned when the allowance should begin. The HSE had conceded payment for April to August 2013 and continuation until the worker was regularised in the post. The Court considered February 2012 the effective date of the claim.
