The Labour Court recommended two staged 3% pay increases at Icds Construction Limited after finding the workers' rates were out of line with comparable employment. The recommendation was signed on 29 November 2013. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had also sought a 15-minute paid break for an electrician and raised the LRC Code of Practice for Essential Services. The Court recommended bringing the named claimant's paid-break treatment into line with other staff from 1 January 2014, and that the union confirm in writing its undertaking to follow the code.
