The Labour Court recommended that Pavee Point Travellers Centre concede the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim for enhanced redundancy terms. Its recommendation was signed on 4 November 2013. The Centre had paid statutory redundancy, but the agreed additional payment had not been made because the funding authorities had not sanctioned it. The agreed formula was 3.35 weeks’ pay per year of service, in addition to statutory redundancy. The Court also recommended that the parties jointly approach the funding agency for financial support to implement the recommendation.
