The Labour Court recommended a meeting to discuss a worker’s return to work after Dunnes Stores changed her roster without consultation. The recommendation was signed on 25 October 2013. The worker, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, said her work pattern had been unchanged for more than 16 years and sought compensation for distress. The Court found that the usual consultation had not taken place and that the roster change did not reflect the contract’s provision to consider her personal requirements. It recommended that the meeting explore options in light of the changed situation at the store.
