The Labour Court recommended that a worker at Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar be classified as a CNM III and paid on that salary scale from 27 February 2012. The recommendation was dated 7 October 2013. The worker, represented by INMO, sought the higher grade after being appointed overall nurse manager of the hospital’s Emergency Department. HSE Dublin Mid Leinster accepted that the role warranted CNM III grading but cited the public service moratorium and the Public Service Agreement 2010–2014 as barriers to regrading. The Court said the worker was already carrying out the role.
