The Labour Court did not recommend conceding a worker’s claim to move from grade E3A to E3B at Shannon Development. The recommendation was signed on 26 August 2013. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union argued that the grading review lacked documents needed to assess the worker’s role. Management said E3A was appropriate and the issue had already been appealed and upheld. The Court found assessors had enough information to apply the agreed job evaluation system fairly and impartially.
