The Labour Court recommended that INMO and SIPTU accept HSE Dublin North East management’s proposals in full and final settlement of a dispute over ending the interim Monaghan and Dundalk Maternity Services Agreement. The recommendation was signed on 8 July 2013. The unions sought a termination date of 5 June 2013, retrospective payments, protection of allowances and a buyout of travel and subsistence payments. HSE Dublin North East said the temporary arrangement had lasted beyond its intended term, payments for unworked rosters should not continue, and the claim was barred under the Public Service Agreement. The Court found management’s proposals reasonable.
