The Labour Court recommended that Dublin City Council keep the acting Executive Manager Engineering post in Drainage Services under review. The recommendation was signed on 20 June 2013. SIPTU (Lapo) sought to reverse the lateral transfer that filled the vacancy or, alternatively, make the post permanent. The Court did not recommend reversing the transfer. It said that if the function continued to be needed, the Council should fill the post permanently through the normal process.
