The Labour Court recommended compensation under the Public Sector Agreement 2010–2014 for a Castlebar Town Council worker who lost nine regular and rostered overtime hours a week. The recommendation was signed on 16 May 2013. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the loss followed the removal of car-parking facilities in Castlebar in January 2010. The Council accepted that the worker’s regular, rostered overtime had fallen by nine hours a week. The Court recommended applying the agreed compensation formula.
