The Labour Court recommended that Aer Lingus and Irish Municipal Public and Civil Trade Union return to conciliation over the restructuring of the airline’s Cabin Crew Management team. The Court said the union’s claim on behalf of 23 workers had been referred prematurely. The recommendation, dated 2 May 2013, asks both sides to identify the remaining issues through the Labour Relations Commission’s conciliation services. Any unresolved matters should then be referred back to the Labour Court under section 26(1) of the Industrial Relations Act, 1990.
