The Labour Court recommended that nine workers facing redundancy at Servisair Ireland Limited trading as Servisair at Shannon Airport receive two weeks' pay per year of service above statutory redundancy terms. The recommendation was signed on 24 April 2013. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought the enhanced package, while the company said the redundancies were necessary and the selection criteria had been settled. The Court recommended that the ex-gratia payment be made in two equal parts, on 1 July 2013 and 1 January 2014.
