The Labour Court recommended that two workers on long-term disability accept Pfizer Ireland Ltd’s offer to calculate their ex-gratia redundancy payment using current basic pay for their grade, subject to the required headcount reduction. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union also sought to include Christmas Bonus, Service Pay and Attendance Bonus in the calculation. The Court did not recommend that claim, saying those payments had not been included in practice under the formula. The recommendation was signed on 28 November 2012.
