Labour Court rejects SIPTU claim for extra share bonus payment

The Labour Court did not recommend in favour of the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim that Tesco Ireland Ltd pay an additional 1% under a company share bonus scheme. The recommendation was signed on 19 November 2012. SIPTU said its members accepted the agreement in February 2006 and were entitled to the payment. Tesco Ireland Ltd said the scheme could not be introduced until both unions had accepted it and Revenue requirements were met. The Court said the scheme was implemented in accordance with the agreement and Revenue rules.
