The Labour Court recommended that two South Tipperary County Council sub-station officers move to either an A or B fire alerter roster from 1 November 2012. The recommendation was signed on 13 November 2012. SIPTU and Unite had argued that both officers should retain the arrangement requiring them to respond to all call-outs. The Court recommended that the Council assess their earnings after 12 months against the average annual call-out arrangements in the previous three years. If a loss is demonstrated, compensation should equal one-and-a-half times the actual loss, paid in two equal phases.
