The Labour Court found that the manner of a worker’s dismissal by Nuance Communications Ireland Limited was unfair and recommended compensation equal to two months’ salary at the date of dismissal. The recommendation was signed on 12 November 2012. The company said the worker had not met the required standards during probation. She said the complaints against her and supporting material were not provided in time for her to prepare a defence. The Court also found that the internal appeal reviewed the substantive issues but not how she was treated during the process leading to dismissal.
