The Labour Court recommended that Chadwicks Ltd pay the attendance bonus for all of 2011 and buy it out for 2012 and later years at 1.75 times its annual value. The dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and UNITE concerned the company's removal of the bonus. The Court said the company had acted before exhausting the established dispute procedure and had misrepresented the negotiations when seeking employees' consent to a buy-out. It also accepted the company's financial case for discontinuing the bonus. The recommendation was signed on 25 June 2012.
