The Labour Court recommended that three former caretaking and security workers at Welcome House receive three weeks’ pay per year of service above statutory redundancy after the facility closed in 2010. The dispute was between Right of Place Second Chance Limited and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The organisation said it could not fund an enhanced package after funding for the three posts was withdrawn. The Court recommended that both sides cooperate to seek funding. It also said outstanding statutory redundancy payments and cesser holiday pay would be discharged by management. The recommendation was signed on 18 May 2012.
