The Labour Court recommended that Divine World Missionaries pay two former workers the claimed retirement gratuities, based on one week’s pay for each year of service. The recommendation was signed on 17 April 2012. Both workers had more than 40 years’ service. The Court found that retiring employees had long received the payment under an established practice and that no good reason had been given for withholding a similar payment from them.
