The Labour Court recommended that Thelinor Limited pay a worker €7,500 in full and final settlement of his unfair dismissal claim. The recommendation was dated 12 March 2012. The Court found the termination substantially and procedurally flawed. Thelinor said the worker’s performance was unsuitable and that he was still on probation. The Court found management had failed to warn him that his employment was in jeopardy, a serious flaw in its procedures. It also noted the company had discovered it did not need as many technicians as it initially hired.
