The Labour Court recommended that electricians represented by the Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union accept and cooperate with Kraft Foods Ireland’s new access-control system. Its recommendation was dated 21 February 2012. The union sought an extra turnstile to prevent delays at the plant. The Court also recommended that the company deal sensitively with initial difficulties, not penalise workers for late attendance caused by system failures, and review the system after three months.
