The Labour Court recommended no compensation for a worker who claimed earnings losses after theatre on-call services closed at St. Columcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown. It found she had no on-call earnings loss during the agreed reference period. The recommendation was signed on 11 October 2011. The Health Service Executive argued that she was not on call during the relevant period, while the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation said the reference period disadvantaged her. The Court said the agreement did not warrant payment in her case.
