The Labour Court did not recommend concession of a worker's claim for incremental credit for time spent acting in a Grade VIII post before permanent appointment. Its recommendation was signed on 12 August 2011. The Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union sought arrears for three years of acting-up service. HSE Dublin Mid Leinster said the worker had been paid under Circular 10/71, received an acting-up allowance and gained increments in the substantive Grade VII post. The Court said the claim was prohibited as a cost-increasing claim under the Public Service Agreement.
