Labour Court says Fás grievance issues belong in disciplinary procedures

The Labour Court found that Fás management acted consistently with its procedures agreement when it withheld agreement to a joint referral of a grievance dispute with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The Court said issues arising during the disciplinary process should be handled under the relevant grievance and disciplinary procedures, and noted management’s assurance that employees could challenge the fairness of the internal audit process. The recommendation was signed on 20 July 2011.
