The Labour Court said it could not process Maeve Henegan’s claim for retrospective senior staff nurse pay because it was a cost-increasing claim barred by the Public Service Agreement 2010–2014. The recommendation was signed on 30 May 2011. Henegan and the INMO sought the senior staff nurse salary scale retrospectively to November 2005, when she had completed 20 years of recognised service. HSE South said the applicable date was 5 November 2008 under agreed eligibility criteria and that the agreement precluded the cost-increasing claim.
