The Labour Court recommended that Bord Na Mona and the Bord Na Mona Group of Unions negotiate how to address the first phase of a claimed Towards 2016 pay increase. The recommendation was dated 9 May 2011. The unions sought retrospective increases under the agreement, which Bord Na Mona said had ended in December 2009. The Court found the first-phase claim had been served before the agreement’s termination and was valid, and recommended further negotiations to address it. It did not recommend payment of the second phase.
