Labour Court recommends Dunnes Stores restore rostered hours and honour parking agreement

The Labour Court recommended that Dunnes Stores restore established rostered hours, honour its 2004 car-parking agreement and facilitate a three-day week for staff whose hours had been reduced to 15 per week. The recommendation was signed on 23 March 2011. Mandate brought the claims for workers at Dunnes Stores’ Kieran Street branch in Kilkenny. The employer did not attend the hearing. The Court said the issues were appropriate for resolution through the parties’ collective agreement framework and recommended that they engage through it.
