The Labour Court recommended that Connacht Gold and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union revisit their dispute over redundancy terms if redundancies arise. Connacht Gold sought a package of four weeks’ pay per year of service, including statutory entitlements and capped at two years’ salary; the union sought to preserve the existing package. The Court said no redundancies were contemplated and it was not appropriate to recommend terms at that time. The recommendation was signed on 14 March 2011.
