The Labour Court recommended against conceding Gyorgy Kovacs’s claim for the same voluntary severance package as a colleague at Aer Lingus. Its recommendation was signed on 4 August 2010. Kovacs and four colleagues were 10 days short of the 18 months’ service required by the programme. The Court accepted Aer Lingus’s explanation that the colleague’s payment was an administrative error and said the company could not reasonably be expected to compound it. It said Kovacs had received the redundancy payment to which he was entitled.
Labour Court declines to recommend concession of Kovacs’s parity claim against Aer Lingus
