The Labour Court did not recommend conceding a claim for a dual responsibility allowance for a liaison public health nurse at HSE Dublin Mid Leinster. The recommendation was signed on 21 May 2010. The Irish Nurses Organisation argued that the role carried responsibilities equivalent to assistant director of nursing level and said the HSE had offered an allowance during negotiations. The HSE said the liaison grade was paid at public health nurse level and that the nurse’s duties had not been shown to differ substantially or carry greater responsibility than those of colleagues at that level.
