The Labour Court recommended that the National Rehabilitation Hospital and the Irish Nurses' and Midwives' Organisation set up a joint working group to develop rosters and break arrangements for the 37.5-hour week. The recommendation was signed on 11 May 2010. The union objected to changes in long-standing break and time-off arrangements. Management said it needed rosters that complied with working-time legislation and met patient-care needs.
