The Labour Court recommended reinstating Bon Secours Health Systems Limited's January 2010 pay adjustments from 1 May, without retrospective effect for January. The recommendation was signed on 30 April 2010. The Bon Secours Group of Workers, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, INMO, the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union and MLSA, had sought reversal of pay cuts announced for staff. The company said savings were needed because of its financial difficulties. The Court cited the staff's historic pay parity with the Public Health Service and recommended consultation on the 2011 budget, a review at the end of December 2010 and no further pay-adjustment proposals during 2010.
