Labour Court asks Iarnrod Eireann and worker to check outstanding zoning allowance

The Labour Court recommended that Iarnrod Eireann and a worker meet to establish any outstanding zoning allowance payments. The worker claimed an allowance from January 2001 to November 2007; the company accepted some entitlement from January 2003 to April 2006, subject to offsets, but disputed the rest of the claim. The Court signed the recommendation on 22 February 2010. It said the parties should complete the exercise by 12 March 2010 and could refer any remaining issues back to the Court for a definitive recommendation.
