The Labour Court recommended that Ricoh Ireland concede a worker’s claim for redundancy terms under a 2002 agreement. The recommendation was dated 9 February 2010. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the worker was short one week’s redundancy pay per year of service under the agreement. Ricoh cited economic constraints and said no collective agreement applied to the redundancy. The Court found the union’s claim reasonable and recommended that it be conceded.
