Labour Court recommends enhanced redundancy terms for two Mullingar centre workers

The Labour Court recommended that Mullingar Congress Information and Development Centre concede the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim for enhanced redundancy terms for two former workers. The recommendation applies a package of 3.35 weeks’ pay per service year, plus statutory redundancy, to all reckonable service, including time spent on the earlier community employment scheme. The Court said the parties should approach FÁS if needed to secure funding. The recommendation was signed on 12 October 2009.
