The Labour Court did not recommend conceding a claim by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union for extra annual leave for instructors and supervisors at the Brothers of Charity, Renmore’s Kilcornan Training Centre. The unions argued that leave granted to comparable HSE Social Care Leaders should also apply. Management said the relationship concerned pay and cited cost and funding pressures. The recommendation was signed on 9 October 2009.
