The Labour Court said Medisize Ireland Limited could introduce a system providing 24/7 maintenance cover, with at least one appropriately qualified worker present at all times. The recommendation followed a dispute with the Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union (Amicus) over a proposed shift arrangement. The Court said the company should consult craft workers individually about genuine and definable domestic difficulties. It signed the recommendation on 4 August 2009.
