The Labour Court recommended that SR Technics Ireland Ltd increase its ex-gratia severance package to €30 million and fully fund two employee pension schemes, following a dispute with the SR Technics Union Fforum over severance terms, forced redundancies and pension funding. The recommendation, signed on 31 March 2009, also called for payment in lieu of notice, further discussion of employees aged 61 or over, an accessible employee assistance programme, written references for departing staff and proper handling of personal and medical files.
