The Labour Court recommended that Wholesale Suppliers Limited pay a worker €1,750 in full and final settlement of a claim for an enhanced redundancy package. The recommendation was signed on 9 March 2009. The worker had been made redundant after four years’ service and received statutory redundancy pay. AGEMO represented the worker. The union said the company remained in business and sought to include the worker in a rotating month-off arrangement. The company cited financial difficulties and said the worker lacked the skills needed for the rotation.
