In 2009, the Labour Court recommended that the City Of Dublin Youth Services Board and the Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union meet to explore a review of the Board’s staffing structures. The recommendation was signed on 2 March 2009. The union said a wider review of staffing structures had not covered youth services. City of Dublin Vocational Educational Committee, which represented the Board, accepted the need for a review but said government departments had not sanctioned it. The Court noted there was no real dispute between the union and employer and recommended that interested parties meet on a without-prejudice basis to consider the agreed proposals.
