The Labour Court recommended on 13 February 2009 that six part-time clinical nurse managers at Dara Residential Services Limited receive a severance payment of three weeks’ pay per year of service, inclusive of statutory redundancy payments. The Court urged the funding authority to make the necessary resources available. The Psychiatric Nurses Association sought enhanced terms after restructuring changed the staff’s core working hours. The employer said it had limited funds and had offered the workers alternative positions with higher salaries while preserving part-time hours. The Court considered those offers significant in making its recommendation.
