The Labour Court declined jurisdiction in a dispute between the Electricity Supply Board and a worker over a claimed 1% salary increase and its effect on his pension and retirement lump sum. The worker had retired in December 2007 and referred the matter after leaving employment. The recommendation was signed on 30 January 2009. The Court relied on earlier rulings that it could not hear a retired person’s case unless the matter was referred before retirement. The merits were not decided.
