The Labour Court did not recommend the Irish Nurses Organisation's claim to regrade four night nursing posts at Daughters Of Charity from Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to Assistant Director of Nursing. The recommendation was signed on 15 October 2008. The union said the night managers ran the residential centre and their responsibilities were not reflected in the CNM2 grade. Daughters Of Charity, represented by HSE-EA, argued the claim would increase costs and that the jobs were not comparable with acute hospital night supervisory roles graded ADON.
