Labour Court recommends new timetable for art college lecturers

The Labour Court recommended that the National College of Art & Design implement facilitated timetable proposals for staff in its Visual Culture Department from the start of the 2008/2009 academic year. The recommendation was dated 11 September 2008. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union challenged the timetable changes, while the college said they had been developed through an agreed process and included a review. The recommendation covers 10 lecturers, eligible part-time lecturers and assistant lecturers in the department. The parties should monitor implementation with the facilitator, who should also consider any individual implementation issues.
