The Labour Court recommended that HSE - West concede a worker’s claim to regrade his Coordinator of Counselling post as Senior Psychologist, with the change backdated to 1 January 2005. The worker was represented by the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union. The Court said there was no real dispute that the role should be graded as Senior Psychologist. It also recommended that he revert to his substantive basic grade if he returned to the HSE. The recommendation was signed on 5 August 2008.
