The Labour Court recommended a €2 hourly increase in a dispute between Metal Processers Limited and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union over changes to working hours, shifts and staffing. The recommendation was signed on 7 July 2008. The Court also recommended compensation based on two years’ loss for 25 years’ service, pro rata downwards, retaining the €1,650 lump sum for current shift personnel and a €2,000 lead-in payment per person. It did not recommend conceding the red-circled rate claim.
