The Labour Court recommended that nurses in Webb and Maguire Wards at Amnch Tallaght Hospital receive the full location allowance from 1 July 2008, rejecting the union’s request for retrospective payment. The Irish Nurses Organisation had sought the allowance back to 24 October 2005. The Court noted that the wards’ beds were divided for administrative reasons and that oncology and haematology activity exceeded the designated bed complement. The recommendation was dated 20 June 2008.
