The Labour Court recommended that KWCD Partnership Ltd pay a worker three months’ salary in full and final settlement of a dispute over an alleged contract extension and dismissal. The recommendation was signed on 28 May 2008. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the worker accepted a three-month contract extension starting in January 2007 but was not paid for work before his employment ended. It also claimed he was denied fair procedures. KWCD Partnership Ltd said the contract expired automatically, the worker had not accepted an extension, and he received appropriate notice.
