The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept P. J. Carroll & Company Limited’s offer to increase some salaries, and did not recommend conceding the union’s claim for a pay scale. The recommendation was signed on 19 May 2008. The union sought a scale with incremental increases and National Wage Agreement terms for about 20 Business Development Executives, saying their pay had fallen behind competitors. The company said it had honoured national wage agreements and opposed the cost-increasing claim.
