Labour Court does not recommend extra redundancy terms for two Omega Teknika workers

The Labour Court did not recommend conceding Unite’s claim for extra redundancy terms for two workers made compulsorily redundant by Omega Teknika. Unite sought an additional two weeks’ pay per year of service on top of the existing package of 5.5 weeks’ pay per year, uncapped, plus statutory redundancy. The Court found the existing package reasonable despite the compulsory redundancies. Its recommendation was signed on 31 January 2008.
