The Labour Court recommended that Dublin Airport Authority park the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim to include Rostered Duty Allowances in pensionable pay for 25 Duty Managers, pending wider pension discussions. The company said it was willing to discuss an additional pension contribution based on shift earnings if staff made a similar contribution, capped at 6.375% of pensionable pay. The Court relied on management’s commitment to progress the wider talks and recommended that it be told their outcome. The recommendation was signed on 29 January 2008.
